Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil

Local Sparrow's virgin coconut oil is extracted from fresh coconut milk. We do not refine or bleach the oil. The white meat from mature coconuts is cold pressed into coconut milk which is then subjected to separation to extract the oil. The oil retains all its nutrients, taste and aroma. It is completely natural and has a beautiful flavour to it.

Please note that the oil will solidify around 18°C or below and all it takes to liquefy it is to place the bottle in a mug/bowl of hot water. It will turn milky white when solid and is almost transparent, clear liquid otherwise.

Our virgin coconut oil can be used in salads for dressing, cooking all kinds of gravies and curries, sauteing, frying. It can also be used for hair and body massage, oil pulling or even as a moisturiser for your skin. Since it is completely free of any chemcials or pesticides or any additives, it is safe to use it for baby massages too.

Cold Pressed virgin coconut oil contains higher percentage of medium chain fatty acids which are easily broken down to produce energy. Hence, the energy used up immediately and not stored as fat. The primary MCFA present is Lauric Acid which has amazing anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and immunity boosting properties.
